Individual Therapy

Although a certain amount of stress and challenge is normal and healthy, there are times when it can be increasingly difficult to cope. If that sounds like your experience, therapy is a great place to explore why. We all have subconscious and conscious patterns that impact our experiences at work, in relationships, and how we view ourselves. How we perceive our circumstances has a lot to do with how we navigate our experiences.

The Internal Family Systems approach (IFS) notes we all have various parts within us that are trying to protect us and are working hard to fulfill an unmet need.  When we take a curious and critical look at how these parts are trying to solve our problems, we can find ways to release them and adopt other ways of coping that are healthy, helpful and more useful.

Some areas you may want to explore in therapy are:

  • Anxiety (ex: fear, panic, intrusive thoughts)

  • Depression (ex: sadness, hopelessness, emptiness)

  • Core wounds (ex: abandonment wound, self and/or body image, attachment issues)

  • Relationships (ex: with self, family, partners, co-workers)

  • Experiences of trauma and abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, neglect)

  • Burnout and stress

  • Identity issues

  • Life transitions

  • Impact of culture and religion

  • Self-care and Compassion

  • Growth Mindset

Summary of Service

My style is empathetic, direct, and collaborative. My hope is to help you tap into your inner voice so you can understand and support yourself through hard times.

I will reflect back what I observe and together we can explore, examine, and find alternative perspectives. I view my role as a facilitator; however, I will offer feedback, reflections, and will gently challenge narratives that do not appear to be serving you. I believe in the power or choice, agency, and resilience.

The team aspect of this work is integral to a good therapeutic relationship. I hope to create a space that makes you feel comfortable, safe, and heard.  You will not be judged and that is my commitment to you.

Together we will decide the frequency of our virtual appointments or calls.
